5 Simple tips to help you get ready for Monday

For as long as I could remember I have heard people saying just how much they hate Mondays and if I were to search “I hate Monday” memes and pics and all that my blog would fill up with this one post.

The point is that people have popularized the idea of hating Mondays, which I’m honest sucks for us because Monday will always come, and thus hating it serves no purpose whatsoever. So what would serve us is finding a way to get on Monday’s good side.

Last Monday I wrote a blog post on “Why I love Mondays and why you should too” and I realized that it’s really not enough so in line with that though, here is a list of ways to NOT hate Mondays :).

1. Gratitude

The first thing you could do, so you don’t hate Mondays, is to be grateful that you get to be up and someone else doesn’t. That alone should be reason enough for you to not hate Mondays.

If you’re having trouble with gratitude, I wrote a whole post on reasons why you should practice gratitude. Click the highlighted text to read it.

2. Set goals

Use Monday as your productivity setting day, use it as the day you set your goals for the week, and make it so that Monday is the day you look forward to.

3. Do what you’re supposed to do before Monday

Do what you need to do before Monday.

I find that from what I have heard about why people hate Monday is because Monday finds people unprepared for some reason, it is like that day of the week that sneaks up on people you know.

To avoid this, make sure that the goals you had set for yourself have all been met, therefore you’ll have another reason not to hate Monday.

4. Reward yourself

Once you complete all the things you need to do to prepare for Monday, reward yourself, If you need to do everything by Sunday night and come Sunday night you have done everything you needed to do reward yourself could be with a loaded ice cream sundae or chunky monkey or a nice soothing bath, whatever you want, you’ve earned it :}.

5. Change your mindset

Use all these and of course the blog post on why I love Mondays and why you should too to change your mindset.

Monday is a beautiful day of the week for all the reasons I listed in my previous post, so find your own reason to fall in love with Monday and rather than dread it finds yourself looking forward to it.

6. Monday happens, coffee helps [Bonus tip]

If all else fails, remember that Monday is going to come whether you like it or not so first get over it, second of all, Monday happens coffee helps :}.

I always start my Monday with a vanilla latte and for some reason that just brightens my Monday and sets the tone for the week, so find that thing that makes your Monday because dreading the day can’t be an end in itself.

I hope this helps, if it does, please let me know in the comment section below. Until next time, stay safe, stay well.
